    The British watch scene is much bigger than London

    London is the largest cluster, but it is only one part of the map. Bristol, Glasgow, Sheffield, Edinburgh, Cambridge and dozens of smaller UK cities all contribute brands with very different ideas about watchmaking. The catalog is just as broad: dress watches, divers, chronographs, field watches, sport watches, GMTs and experimental pieces all show up in meaningful numbers.

    British brand doesn't mean one manufacturing model

    Some UK brands assemble locally. Some regulate, finish or quality-control watches in Britain while using Swiss, Japanese, Chinese or other manufacturing partners. Others work almost entirely overseas. Atlas keeps brand location, design location and assembly location separate where the information is available, because a British identity is useful context — but it is not a shortcut for the whole sourcing story.
