    Brand vibe

This one's a good one. The amazing(ly weird) Linde Werdelin exists because Jorn Werdelin nearly died on a ski slope in 1996. He and his childhood buddy, Morten Linde, a Danish designer, launched the brand in 2002 with an odd, very Scandinavian premise: a mechanical watch you could clip a digital dive or ski computer onto, so the instrument could serve whatever adventure and the watch could survive it. The clip-on instruments faded, as it turns out; the case language did not. Eight hexakey screws, wrapped around sometimes-skeletonised movements all with some serious pedigree... the LW09 three-hander came from Jean-Francois Mojon at Chronode, and their moonphase was developed with the Danish master watchmaker Svend Andersen. Danish design, Swiss build, mountain-and-ocean vibes. Gotta love it, if you've got $20K to spend.

Sourcing Notes: Danish design, Swiss build. Cases are engineered in Switzerland in Grade 2/5 titanium, bronze, black ceramic bezels and 3DTP multi-layer carbon, with an eight-screw sandwich construction unique to the brand. Movements are LW-branded and heavily reworked: the LW09 three-hander was developed for Linde Werdelin by Jean-Francois Mojon at Chronode, the photorealistic Oktopus moonphase was developed in 2009 with Danish master watchmaker Svend Andersen of Andersen Geneve, and the Oktopus Double Date runs an LW-modified Dubois Depraz 14580. The base ebauche supplier behind the LW07/LW06 calibres and the specific dial, hands and case subcontractors are not disclosed.

Not enough information for a duty figure

The fields above are reported facts. None of them establishes customs origin: that depends on the watch's tariff classification and a substantial-transformation analysis, and what you actually pay also depends on the seller's shipping and duty-payment terms. Ask the seller for the country of origin and whether duties are collected at checkout, and confirm rates against official sources.
