    Brand vibe

DeNovo launched in 2016 the way most microbrands only dream about — a convoy of twenty Porsche 911 Cabriolets winding from Italy into the Swiss Alps. That theatrical opening tells you most of what you need to know: this is Italian flair fused to Swiss restraint. Watches are designed by Giacomo Soriani in his Pesaro studio (he's also an illustrator and goldsmith) and then assembled in Bienne at the Ronda Time center. The flagship Quantum collection (42mm sport cases, multi-layered dials, Swiss automatics) splits the diff between Italian fashion-house bravado and the engineering sobriety of a Jura valley assembler. It's a small brand making a big claim about what cross-border watchmaking can look like. Up to you whether they pull it off.

IEEPA reciprocal tariff (originally 39%, later 15%) struck down by SCOTUS on Feb 20, 2026. Currently flat 10% Section 122 tariff. HTS base rate varies 4-11% by movement type; 6% is typical for mechanical watches. Framework deal with US in limbo.

Tariffs are assessed based on where the watch is assembled, not where individual components originate. A watch with a Japanese movement assembled in the US incurs no import duty.
