Brand vibe
Bonest Gatti builds what you might call "loud, transparent, mechanically theatrical watches:" K9-crystal and carbon-fibre tonneau, fully skeletonised, roulette-wheel... dragons, skulls and open tourbillons, mostly between $220 and $1,000. The brand describes itself as German-headquartered with production in Hong Kong and claims a 1999 founding; its Shopify storefront and contact details are all Hong Kong. Though Bonest keeps it Honest in this respect, it's worth knowing before you buy that nearly the whole catalogue (including the pieces marketed as diving watches, oof) is rated only 3ATM. So take it off before you do the dishes.

Sourcing & Build
Needs ConfirmationSourcing Notes: Movements are listed only as "automatic mechanical movement" with internal references (BT16-05G, BT17-02G, RTC-I3) and no named supplier; case, dial and hands suppliers are not disclosed. Product pages state "Origin: Germany" while the brand's own collection page describes production in Hong Kong, so origin claims are unverified.

Hong Kong falls in the 12.5% flat Section 301 forced-labor tier (effective July 24, 2026). Major component manufacturing hub — many microbrands source cases and components from HK.
Tariffs are assessed based on where the watch is assembled, not where individual components originate. A watch with a Japanese movement assembled in the US incurs no import duty.
