Brand vibe
VDB (Vintage Daily Beater, often miscalled "Vintage Design Berlin," but there's nothing "BERLIN" about it) is a seemingly fiercely-independent micro working out of a tiny workshop in Erfurt. Founded in 2008 by Stephan Obst, a precision mechanic and former cycling-race mechanic who reportedly sold his car to fund the first prototypes while his wife was pregnant. Love a dude who bets on himself. The brand's DNA is unapologetically bold, too. Military-inflected divers. 46–55 mm cases. an oversized 28 mm strap.

EU is capped at 10% total including MFN duty under the Section 301 forced-labor tariffs effective July 24, 2026. With a ~6% HTS base rate, the incremental Section 301 duty is 4%.
Tariffs are assessed based on where the watch is assembled, not where individual components originate. A watch with a Japanese movement assembled in the US incurs no import duty.
