    Brand vibe

Nautical maximalism, made one at a time. Don Weismantel — "Peg Leg Don" — hand-casts every bronze case in Venice, Florida using lost-wax casting, then hand-paints multi-layer dials of tall ships, krakens, mermaids and ghost-ship captains. Orders are semi-custom and take six to eight weeks, because the watch does not exist until you order it. Russell Crowe owns a Master and Commander piece; the rest of the catalog is just as unapologetically theatrical.

No import duties for American buyers

This brand assembles in the US — watches ship tariff-free to domestic addresses.

No import duty on domestically assembled watches. Brands like TSAO Baltimore, Nodus, Vaer, and Vortic ship tariff-free to US buyers.

Tariffs are assessed based on where the watch is assembled, not where individual components originate. A watch with a Japanese movement assembled in the US incurs no import duty.
