    Brand vibe

Lang & Heyne is a tiny independent manufacture in Radeberg, just outside Dresden, founded in 2001 by Marco Lang and Mirko Heyne to revive Saxon watchmaking traditions that predate the region's Glashütte fame. Every watch runs an in-house manual-winding caliber finished largely by hand, under solid silver dials, in models named for Saxon royalty — Friedrich August, Georg, Anton, Moritz, Hektor. Output is roughly 100-150 pieces a year, which puts it among the most understated artisan names in German high horology.

Sourcing Notes: Lang & Heyne builds everything around wholly in-house manual-winding calibres (I, III, VI, VIII, IX, 33.2) made in Radebeul near Dresden, with untreated German silver plates, hand-engraved balance cocks, screwed gold chatons and finishing done at the bench. Cases in gold, platinum and steel and the enamel/solid-silver dials are produced by German specialists to the manufacture spec; annual output is a few dozen watches.

Not enough information for a duty figure

The fields above are reported facts. None of them establishes customs origin: that depends on the watch's tariff classification and a substantial-transformation analysis, and what you actually pay also depends on the seller's shipping and duty-payment terms. Ask the seller for the country of origin and whether duties are collected at checkout, and confirm rates against official sources.
