Gambrell Rénard is an American design house that happens to make watches — footwear, furniture, rugs and electric mobility sit under the same name, and the timepieces read like objects from that world rather than straight-up tool watches. The namesake designer came up through fashion and furniture, not horology, which explains a lot: dials are treated as surfaces to be painted, cases as almost... sculpture, and the time display itself as something you can redesign.
