Brand vibe

Retro-futurist Italian design object. Think... like... a 1950s industrial designer from Milan was asked to imagine a wristwatch for the year 2000. GL mixes Art Deco's symmetry with space-age dashboards... a little mid-century Italian optimism and a little... vintage parking meter?

Feels more tiny machine or piece of furniture than a conventional watch. Reviewers have variously described it as whimsical, extravagant and space-age, while the brand frames the “laboratory” as half artist’s studio, half mechanic’s workshop.

I’d place it somewhere between Ikepod, but more ornate and mechanical, and Urwerk, after being asked to design something a bit more.. fancy-free.
