China falls in the 12.5% flat Section 301 forced-labor tier (effective July 24, 2026), stacked on top of the pre-existing ~7.5% Section 301 China surcharge for mechanical wristwatches (HTS 9102.11). Exact incremental duty varies by HTS classification.
Tariffs are assessed based on where the watch is assembled, not where individual components originate. A watch with a Japanese movement assembled in the US incurs no import duty.
