Brand vibe
An engineer's answer to a question nobody asked, executed with total conviction. Technik 4X puts two independent movements in one 44mm case — a Seiko automatic on one side, an Epson solar quartz on the other — so you can run two time zones and quietly referee which technology keeps better time. Founder Hans Peter Grädel spent five decades building movement and case components for the likes of Formex and Sector before doing this, and the watches read accordingly: skeletonized, sustainability-minded, tagline "Powered by Clean Energy," zero interest in heritage cosplay.
Sourcing & Build
InferredSourcing Notes: Specifications published on technik4x.com. AQD-44 line is Swiss Made, pairing a Sellita SW100 automatic with an ETA 901.001 quartz in one dual-time hybrid movement holder. ASD-44 line pairs a Seiko/SII NH05B automatic with an Epson VS17A solar quartz. Cases are 316L stainless steel with sapphire front and display back; component suppliers for case, dial and hands are not disclosed.

Not enough information for a duty figure
The fields above are reported facts. None of them establishes customs origin: that depends on the watch's tariff classification and a substantial-transformation analysis, and what you actually pay also depends on the seller's shipping and duty-payment terms. Ask the seller for the country of origin and whether duties are collected at checkout, and confirm rates against official sources.
