Brand vibe
Founded in Zurich in 1956, Ollech & Wajs built its name on mail-order tool watches issued to US troops in Vietnam. They were a Fortunate Son, of sorts, when their 1964 Caribbean 1000 was the first watch certified to 1,000m. The revived OW keeps that same stubbornnes... bespoke Soprod and Valjoux movements, 39.5mm cases, 300m-1,000m ratings, hand-assembled in the Swiss Jura, sold direct with no boutique BS. Look as good in the wild as they do here, can attest personally.
