    Brand vibe

Olivier Jonquet has been making cushion-cased watches in Provence since 2013, when the first model was funded by way of subscription. The style is pretty unmistakable... squared-off 1910s-1930s cushion cases, enamel and lacquered dials, blued or rose-gold hands, and hand-made calf straps. The big Capitaine and Marine Capitaine run 43.5mm on a hand-wound ETA 6498-1; the smaller Galine (34.6mm, Miyota automatic) and 22mm Galinette bring the same shape down to unisex and women's proportions. Assembly moved into Jonquet's own Provence workshop in 2020, and everything is finished and cased there. Website has some rough parts around the edges, I've reached out to ask them if they're still making/selling. Will update as I know anything - 8/9/26

Tariffs are assessed based on where the watch is assembled, not where individual components originate. A watch with a Japanese movement assembled in the US incurs no import duty.
