Brand vibe
Not unusual to the microbrand scene, Méraud is a one-man Belgian operation: Stijn Busschaert designs in Ghent, then has the watches built and assembled down in Switzerland. The name mashes together mer (sea) and émeraude (emerald), which explains that nice nautical streak running through both lines. Vintage-inspired without being a reissue, and priced well under what the Swiss-assembly claim usually costs.

InferredSourcing Notes: Designed in-house in Ghent, Belgium; manufactured and assembled in Switzerland for Swiss Made status. The Bonaire MkII runs a La Joux-Perret G100 automatic (68h power reserve, exhibition caseback); the Antigua chronograph uses fully restored vintage Landeron 248 manual-wind calibers. Case, dial, hands and lume suppliers are not disclosed by the brand.
