Sourcing & Build
Community verifiedSourcing Notes: Independent heritage house originally founded in Vienna in 1822 (supplier to the imperial court of the Danube monarchy, with workshops historically in Vienna, Prague, and La Chaux-de-Fonds) and revived in 2017 by Robert Punkenhofer and Peter Brabeck-Letmathe. Every piece is designed in Vienna and manufactured in small production rounds across Austria and Switzerland. Wristwatches (Waltz N°1, Waltz N°1 Skeleton, Belvedere, Vienna) use Swiss-made cases, dials, hands and Swiss automatic movements — the Belvedere line is built around a Swiss automatic with a signature jumping date complication. The Table Waltz Tourbillon is a different proposition: an in-house tourbillon movement designed and executed entirely in Austria by master watchmaker Therese Wibmer, in a hand-finished brass case milled from a single block and finished in partnership with Viennese glassmaker J. & L. Lobmeyr.
