    Brand vibe

Founded in 1991 in Freiburg, Germany by Alexander Burhans (Bauhaus designer who clearly looked at a Junghans Max Bill and thought "yeahhhh, but what if the numbers weren't where you expected?" Guy relocated to Biel, Switzerland in 2003 to do the Swiss Made thing properly. The house move is to take the Bauhaus brief seriously. Off-axis indices, asymmetric dial layouts, lots of white space, the kind of typography that feels designed by someone who owns more design monographs than ties. The Original "O" series even bagged a Red Dot Design Award, which is the design world's way of telling you it's good without having to read anything. Typical artist stuff.
